A 4-H Pledge—Keeping Youth Safe

Caring adults have the responsibility of preventing child abuse and neglect. Adult volunteers make a difference in the lives of the youth who participate in Extension’s 4-H programs and may be the first to observe warning signs of a problem. This program covers the different kinds of abuse, how to recognize them, and what to do if you have good reason to suspect an occurrence. A pediatrician and child psychologist clarify physical signs and explain the emotional and psychological impacts of abuse.
